Oct. 7, Alexandria, VA. — The 2026 elections could reshape the federal and state policy landscape for travel technology companies. To help the travel technology industry prepare for what comes next, Travel Tech Association (Travel Tech) will host two free webinars hosted by Travel Tech President and CEO Laura Chadwick and Head of State Government Affairs Dave Barmore.
The first webinar, “2026 Elections Preview: Key Races, Policy Issues, and What They Mean for Your Business,” on Wednesday, October 21st at 11:00 AM ET, will provide a preview of the elections and the races that could have the greatest impact on the industry. Laura and Dave will discuss the balance of power in Congress, key governors’ races and state legislative contests, and the policy issues that travel technology companies should be watching heading into Election Day.
Following the elections, Travel Tech will reconvene the industry on November 12 at 11:00 AM ET for a second webinar, “Post-Election: 2026 Election Results: What They Mean for Your Business”, to break down the results and examine what they could mean for the industry in 2027. The discussion will look beyond who won and lost to explore how changes in Congress, governors’ offices and state legislatures could affect issues including artificial intelligence, data privacy, pricing, competition, taxation, travel distribution and consumer protection.
Together, the two sessions will give the travel technology community a clear view of the political landscape before Election Day and practical insight into the policy environment taking shape afterward. Attendees will also have an opportunity to hear directly from Laura and Dave and ask questions about the developments most relevant to their businesses.
